Founder and owner - Shush Arya

shush aryaShush worked for 15 years in retail with the Dixons Group and in 1992  became the youngest General Manager in the UK, running a £3 million store. 

In 1996 he
 went on to work in PC World in Croydon the largest Computer superstore in Europe. This is where he saw a huge demand for a reliable IT support business for home and small business users.

To learn about all aspects of the IT industry he then worked for IT distributor Ideal Hardware a specialist in backup and components then did a stint as a Sales Manager for an IT Value Added Reseller.

With all this experience behind him he founded The Computer Man in July 1999.

Today Shush is responsible for the Marketing, Management and Business Development of The Computer Man.

 

Operations - Geoff Williamson

geoff williamsonGeoff has vast experience over 30 years within the IT sector and teamed up with Shush in 2003 following the closure of the Ford showroom at Three Bridges, Crawley. Geoff at the time was contracted to look after the showroom's 60 PC network.

Currently Geoff is the Regional Vice Chairman Surrey & West Sussex and Branch Vice Chairman for Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSA). He also previously served as the President of the Gatwick Diamond Rotary Club.

His first hand experience and interaction with small business owners helps Geoff understand the IT needs of a business inside out. This is critical in delivering a valuable service.

Geoff is responsible for the day to day appointments for The Computer Man to ensure customers problems are fixed with the most convenience and efficiency.

Administration and Marketing Support - Julie Arya 

julieJulie, married to founder Shush Arya, supported and encouraged him to start the business in 1999. Previously Julie worked as a Regional Manager for a retail chain and as a Sales Executive for several companies including Thomson Local.

It was Julie who suggested to Shush the business that the business name should reflect what the business did and she came up with the name, The Computer Man.

Julie's advertising experience dealing with small businesses has meant she has added massive value in the marketing and communications for The Computer Man.

Today Julie helps out with admin and marketing support for the business.
